Spark Light-4, the wall magazine of the Department of Management inaugurated on 21st November 2022 by Dr. Basavarajeshwari Diddimani, the IQAC Coordinator of Government First Grade College, Uppinangady.
In her inaugural speech, Dr. Basavarajeshwari stated, the world is changing with technology advancement. In this scenario writing skills are evaporating and sometimes it leads to miscommunication.A person’s life changes by learning how to write. So it’s better for us to start writing and learn it.
We have initiated to encourage the writing skills among the students. Students have to contribute to the wall magazine at the maximum number.For the purpose, students may make use of the college library, magazines, news papers, etc. These will help them gain added knowledge required for writing articles,said Mr. Ahamad S M, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management on his introductory remarks.
The Principal, Government First Grade College Mr. Subbappa Kaikamba presided over the inauguration ceremony.
Every students have to learn writing without having any barrier of language. Students may adopt trial and error methods for the purpose.If the article is rejected by the editors, students shouldn’t lose their hopes. By taking it as a challenge, they should retry by correcting and improving the writing skills and get it approved by editors, stated Mr. Subbappa on his presidential remarks. Students may approach any faculties of the department for assistance if needed. Every faculties may assist in one or other way on their expertise, he added.
The neatness of the students throughout the event attracted principal’s attention and that rewarded with appreciation for all the students who participated.
Mr. Akash of the final BBA welcomed the guests. Mr. Sharath Alva K, Faculty in Management and Associate Editor of Spark Light-4 were present on stage. Department of Commerce and Management faculties and students witnessed the event. Ms. Gowthami of the second BBA presented a vote of thanks. The event was well organized by Master of Ceremony Mr. Akshay of the final BBA. Post inauguration ceremony, articles were pasted on the wall magazine.
